Didado dispatched approx. 172 crew members and approx. 169 pieces of equipment to assist LUS, SLEMCO and the Village of New Roads in the restoration of their electrical lines and poles destroyed by Hurricane Gustav. We were in Louisiana for two weeks rebuilding distribution lines to entire towns. The people of New Roads cheered as the power was restored. The townspeople took very good care of the electricians, preparing them meals, providing them with cots to rest on in one of their churches and the children of the church got together and made cards thanking everyone for their help.
